Position: Junior PV Installer
 
Responsibilities:
Vista Solar is seeking applicants to install residential grid-tied PV systems. In this position, the Installer will provide support to the crew lead of the installation team, communicate job status data to the operations management, and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays/systems. It is the responsibility of every Installer to ensure safe work practices for the Vista Solar installation team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following,
 
             ·       Pulling inventory for each installation
             ·       Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse
             ·       Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware
             ·       Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
             ·       Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
             ·       Documentation of completed installation
             ·       Clean up of job site
             ·       Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
·       Enforce Vista Solar project standards.
·       Ensure attention-to-detail with an emphasis on quality
·       Other responsibilities as they arise.
 
Requirements:
·       Team player!!
·       Previous experience in PV installations, roof work, general construction, or carpentry strongly preferred.
·       Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems strongly preferred.
·       Experience with the safe use of hand-held and power tools.
·       Experience working with all types of building materials - various roof types - stucco, wood, concrete, etc. - strongly preferred.
·       Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, crawl spaces, etc.
·       Must be very organized and be able to meet aggressive timeline.
·       Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
·       Proficiency with Email and other IT preferred
·       Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must deliver a high level of customer service.
·       Must have a clean driving record.

Position: Racking Technician

Position: Crew Lead
 
Responsibilities:
The Crew Lead will provide leadership and technical expertise for the photovoltaic installation teams.  In this position, the Crew Lead will communicate the necessary job status data to the Vista Solar operations management team to assure the successful operation of complete and working systems.  The ideal candidate will also lead efforts for safe working practices for the Vista Solar installation team.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following,
·       Maintain consistent crew workflow and progress on project.
·       Ensure the correct materials are installed for the assigned projects.
·       Act as the Crew’s main contact with the customer.
·       Ensure all project site documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
·       Complete, sign-off and submit all project receipts and expense reports in a timely manner.
·       Ensure installations are completed on-time and on-budget
·       Track team members work hours.
·       System commissioning and final job walks.
·       Enforce Vista Solar project standards.
·       Ensure attention-to-detail with an emphasis on quality
·       Guide Customer through monitoring setup and login.
·       Maintain a clean inventory environment and ensure thorough inventory true-ups.
·       Other responsibilities as they arise.
 
Requirements:
·       Must have knowledge of OSHA compliance standards or familiarity with formal safety practices.
·       Must have a minimum of two years of PV installation experience, including at least 6 months of leading a crew of two.
·       Proficiency in installing all types of grid-tied inverters & able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems.
·       Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to PV installations.
·       Must be very organized and be able to meet aggressive timeline.
·       Willing to do residential, commercial & service work.
·       Willing to work in extreme environments (hot sun, high places/roofs, and crawl spaces).
·       Be able to lift at least 100 pounds.
·       Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
·       Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must deliver a high level of customer service.

Position: Construction Manager
 
Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is part of the Operations team and is fully responsible for the oversight and management of the project cycle for all Vista Solar PV projects. This includes, but is not limited to the following;
·       Project planning including defining schedule and budgets which meet contract requirements
·       Support of the design process through plan-check and permitting 
·       Aiding the Project Manager (PM) in defining elements of work and soliciting bids for subcontracted work where necessary
·       Providing direction and supervision of all field activities related to the physical construction
·       Supporting PM in managing the project budget, cash flow and schedule through the project cycle
·       Oversight of the data management for all project data flows including submittals, RFI’s etc.
·       Oversight for all quality and safety requirements on the project
·       Materials and equipment planning and requisition
·       Planning/management for all general conditions requirements to successfully install the project on-time and within budget, while maintaining required levels for quality and safety. 
·       Ensuring appropriate levels of workers are on site to ensure adequate progress of work, coordination of trades and overall project completion to meet contractual commitments
·       Manage project daily log and timesheets.
·       Conduct site audits for new projects.

Requirements:
             ·       BS in architecture, engineering or construction preferred, or equivalent experience.
             ·       5-7 years of experience in construction of commercial and residential projects.
             ·       3-years in PV systems preferred.
             ·       In-depth knowledge of construction products, practices, subcontracting and project work flow/sequencing.
             ·       Certifications: Class B, C-10, or C-46 License, NABCEP, and Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification preferred.
·       Must be very organized and be able to meet aggressive timelines.
             ·       Experience in similar capacity on an Operations team for commercial projects directing crews or tradesmen in general construction, assembly and/or electrical work.
             ·       Detailed knowledge of construction budgets and schedules.
             ·       Knowledge of major PV components (PV Modules, inverters and racking systems, preferred.
             ·       Ability to lead craftsmen and construction crews.
             ·       Proficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project of Merlin

Position: Senior Sales Engineer
 
Responsibilities:
The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the technical evaluation and due diligence for new solar system opportunities at Vista Solar, as well as providing the Sales department design and deliverables to support commercial and residential solar electric system sales. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations, and work within established processes to communicate within the Sales department. The Senior Sales Engineer position is responsible for identifying the most appropriate technical and material solutions, per program or regional incentives, or other variables to optimize the proposal. Deliverables such as equipment specifications, concept design drawings, site evaluations, interconnection and single line diagrams, and other supporting details, as required, will be managed by this position. Local travel is expected and required as needed by project location and scope. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following;
·       Maintaining constant communication with key members of the Sales team and other departments as needed to put forth the most optimal design and work within company priorities for management purposes.
·      Manage CAD resources and priorities to effectively meet required timelines.
·       Maintain report to track new opportunities, for use in forecasting, updating as required.
·      Site visits and meetings to support opportunities as required by level of difficulty or scope.
·       Perform site due diligence and document items of concern or need for further validation.
·      Manage the sales request process for all project types to efficiently manage priorities using Salesforce.com.
·      Attend weekly meetings and respond to fast pace of design validation as required.
·       Work with key members within Sales to effectively structure projects.
·       Perform technical due diligence for RFP’s or similar as required by official response documents. Verify or identify key requirements to provide most appropriate solution or response.
·       Prepare any necessary customer deliverables, such as concept module layouts, single line diagrams, equipment or material specifications, engineering validation, 3-D renderings and photo simulations as requested. Clearly communicate design concept and high-level system specifications.
·       Provide site specific or customer specific design and permitting guidelines, providing permit pre-planning documents for accurate scheduling. Validate design requirements for local AHJ and recommend solutions.
·       Provide technical support and deliverables for utility specific interconnection applications, rebate applications, performance validation models or any other technical support for system operation.
·      Utilize modeling tools such as PV SYST, other production estimating tools, financial modeling tools, or material optimizing methods to validate most appropriate design and material solutions.
·      Work with other departments to provide best estimating and modeling information.
·      Provide interface for technical handoff and scope of work for handoff between Operations Team and Sales.
·      Support project estimating and scheduling tasks as required.
·      Identify and document project variables and red flag items, significant milestones or system performance targets.
·       Other responsibilities as they arise.
 
Requirements:
The individual filling this position would ideally have the following skills and experience. Applicants that lack any of the requirements below will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on their qualification in key areas. On the job training will be provided for individuals not meeting all of the requirements.
·       A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
·       Experience performing design and permitting activities with a solar electric installation company, or experience performing design and permitting activities with a construction company.
·       Experience designing electrical systems, experience with electrical switchgear or sub-stations, or experience with distributed generation system design.
·       Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2007 software and/or Google Sketchup.
·       Strong organizational skills to manage the activities required in the design and permitting of commercial solar electric systems.
·       Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel.
·      Experience designing with medium voltage equipment.
·       Strong working knowledge of the NEC.
·       Experience working in the electrical construction industry.
·      Experience with Salesforce.com a plus.
·       C-10 License and NABCEP certification a plus.
·       Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
·       Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must deliver a high level of customer service.

Position: Sales Account Manager
 
Responsibilities:
Under general direction, the Sales Account Manager sells large, complex, solar service offerings to commercial and, in some cases, residential customers and assist in solar sales and marketing strategy development. Successful Solar Sales Account Managers must be able to build relationships in the market, articulate value propositions, craft and negotiate contracts that provide customer savings and add value to Vista Solar. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following;
·       Achieve defined targets for gross margin and volume.
·       Penetrate targeted organizations, identify key decision makers, and establish relationships that create long-term value for Vista Solar.
·       Understand the customer’s needs and work with engineering and finance to develop and implement creative profitable solutions while maintaining Vista Solar’s reputation for quality and delivery.
·       Develop incoming leads.
·       Assist in solar sales and marketing strategy development.
·       Provides briefings to Sales Team as necessary or as requested.

Requirements:
The individual filling this position would ideally have the following skills and experience. ·       Minimum 3-5 years of successful sales experience, including layout and proposals (exposure to energy industry preferred).
·       Proven and verifiable track record of selling energy solutions to commercial and industrial end users.
·       Experience selling to C-level of an organization; long sales cycles; experience with solution or needs-based selling processes.
·       Proactive and results oriented to work in a rapidly growing industry with aggressive timelines and deliverable requirements.
·       Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required
·       Creativity in new ways of articulating our value to users, and differentiating Vista Solar against competitors.
·       Strong computer skills.
·       Strongest team-orientation and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

·       Masters degree or MBA required. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.
